GRINDING OR SHARPENING


The choice of the model according to the intended use:

There are 2 models of Redsteel :

- Redsteel “Polish” : Its frequent use during all working day enables keeping the edge on a knife
The knife must be grinded before. Grinding wheels machines and with abrasive belts available on FISCHER catalogue to realize this operation (General catalogue 2009 page 14) Recommended for butchers and food-processing industry.

Code W4085 : Redsteel “polish” without stainless steel base

Utilisation

- Redsteel “Diamond” : The rods are covered with natural diamond particles insuring a high abrasivity. This item is recommended when the knife is blunt (used)
Recommended for catering, kitchen and groups
Caution : We recommend wiping the knife after sharpening and before cutting food. Metal particles might appear during sharpening step.
